High records of LEDLight™ exposure units sales for ALTIX
Altix is totalizing a high record of Exposure equipment sales being equipped with LedLight™ source. After delivering its first system almost 3 years ago, more and more equipment are not built anymore with conventional high pressure mercury lamp but with UV LEDs.
Frédéric Baradel, VP of Sales & Marketing, emphasized:
“After starting with our most popular automatic system Acura, our complete product range is now available with LEDLight™ engine including Roll to Roll Evol2c and semi-automatic equipment Afosa. Whatever is the light source, the productivity and resolution are the same.
The LED technology is the alternative to the collimated light because it provides an excellent quality of light, in that collimation & declination angles and uniformity are similar to a collimated light.
Then, the electricity & cooling power consumption for LedLight™ are dramatically less than for the collimated light system and save nearly 70% of running costs.
Led’s lifetime is un-comparably longer than a collimated lamp and in fact, lasts the same lifetime as the machine.
The LEDs generate nearly no heat. Therefore, there is no film warming and virtually no artworks expansion.
Finally, the running cost of the Led technology system is consequently much lower than the collimated light one.
In order to give an example, thanks to the LED high efficiency, the ACURA LedLight™ electrical power consumption is only 6kW compared to 17kW for an equivalent collimated light system. The high efficiency intensity also emits less heat radiation and results in significantly lower water consumption”.
Altix is at present using LED technology in all its equipment since its Direct Imaging is also equipped with LED. The ADIX-SA is a semi-automatic UV LED DMD Direct Imaging solution based on its new ALDSTM technology.
